Testimonials

Hear what some of our clients have to say:

The Australian Logistics Council and Emberin have worked together since 2007 in offering the Transport and Logistics industry a fantastic mentoring program. Our industry’s mentoring program (Women Moving Forward) utilises Emberin’s ‘My Mentor’ and is part of a holistic mentoring package offered to all women, in any role, in any T&L company across Australia.

Working with Emberin is a pleasure. Nothing is too much trouble for their staff and as partners we find they are very professional and always act with integrity.

I would highly recommend Emberin as a company to do with business with if you have a passion for gender diversity, mentoring and professional development. I am very happy to act as a referee should a potential client wish to contact a client for further information.

I first had the pleasure of meeting Maureen when we invited her as a guest speaker at one of our internal women's networking events. Maureen was a fantastic speaker and I continued to get such positive feedback from the ladies who heard her speak that we then started discussions on the My Mentor program. Maureen was always truly inspirational when we met with her and we ran a pilot program with 18 of our women across our Queensland business in the second part of last year. The program is fantastic value for money and was instrumental in really encouraging and growing a number of our women across the business. The success of the program has been so well received across the business that we are about to launch our second program in Queensland and also commence with our first program in Victoria.

Maureen and her team at Emberin are always professional and engaging and I cannot speak highly enough of the professional and inspirational way in which they operate and have continually interacted with our teams. Everyone who completed the program continues to speak of the many learning's they experienced and a number of them have had heightened success in their careers since completing the program.

Dear Maureen,

I am writing to express my appreciation for your support and assistance with the Austrade pilot of your 'my mentor' program.

Our pilot was particularly successful in inspiring our participants and providing a practical way for them to re-assess their approach to their individual personal and professional development.  For the majority of our participants, this was a life changing experience that left them enthused, positive and motivated to change their life.  I would clearly love to see all of our female staff have such a positive proactive approach to their role and to their career.  It would make us a much stronger organisation.

The 'my mentor' program was well set up and relatively easy to roll out to the widely dispersed network that we are. It was successfully completed across a range of office sizes from (1 person to 50 people offices), in a range of locations (from Chengdu in China to Adelaide), by staff at all APS levels (from APL 1-5), across a range of job roles in enabling and front line units (from BDM's to finance staff) and by staff with English as their second language.

I have recommended that we roll the porgram out more widely in Austrade and would be happy to speak to other departments in the public sector about our experience with the program.

I believe `my mentor' is a very effective and cost efficient way to deliver a high calibre level of mentoring support and encouragement to female staff interested in developing and progressing their careers and their personal development.  It demands a level of intensity, commitment, personal reflection and assessment by participants but all seemed to value the insights they got and understand that the commitment was necessary to gain the value from the program.

My thanks to you, Maureen and your staff, for helping us deliver such a successful program to our pilot group of Austrade female staff.

Yours sincerely,

Pat Evans

I thoroughly enjoyed my interaction with Maureen and members of emberin staff throughout the time the (My Mentor) pilot was being run. Maureen especially was supportive and could not do enough, while members of staff were helpful and cooperative.

The DVD interviews of women in senior management/executive positions were a valuable part of the package, but most of us found working through the CDs with the booklet the best part of it. We learned much, from how to present the image of us that we wanted to be known for, to how to cultivate lasting relationships through networking. Good value for money especially since it can be used as time allows by each participant. Flexible, but needs to be coordinated well as most value is gained from a group going through the package at the same time.
