Leaders in gender diversity and women's initiatives

Partnerships

emberin is very pleased to announce that we have partnered with The Smith Family to support them in unlocking opportunities for disadvantaged families to participate more fully in society.  Over 680,000 Australian children are living in disadvantage and do not have access to the same educational, health or life opportunites that many of us enjoy and often take for granted.*  This means their parents are unable to afford to buy their child’s school excursions or proper uniform, increasing the chances of feeling different and not fitting in and belonging.  This may also reduce their motivation to participate in and engage with their education, and with fewer qualifications or aspirations they could become part of an ongoing cycle of disadvantage, passed from generation to generation.

emberin will be donating a percentage of proceeds from our programs to the work of the Smith Family and would like to encourage you to look at The Smith Family’s website or call 1800 99 66 77 to find out more about volunteering, mentoring or supporting a child through a scholarship.  For under $1 a day, it might be part of your learning journey.
