Helen Brodie has more than 25 years’ experience with Australia’s most trusted commercial organisation, Australia Post. As Commercial Manager, the most senior role in Queensland, Helen brings extensive experience and knowledge of the communications and retail and services industry.
She is responsible and accountable through her executive team for Queensland’s retail network that includes 174 corporate outlets, 462 licensed post offices and 189 community postal agencies. The Commercial Division has more than 2000 employees, including a Call Centre with 110 seats. Together with the Mail and Networks Division, the Queensland team operates with a $750 million revenue budget and contributes more than $140 million to Australia Post’s profit.
Helen is currently a Board Member and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management in Queensland, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a member of the Starlight Children’s Foundation Advisory Board. She joined the QUT Faculty Academic Board (Business) in 2008. She has held board positions including Chairperson of the Australian Post-Tel Institute Queensland and the Australian Federation of Business and Professional Women.
She holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in marketing, a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and a Company Directors Diploma. She has participated in leadership programs with the Leadership Consortium, Mt Eliza Business School and in 2008, Harvard Business School.
Helen lives in Brisbane and is married with one 10 year old daughter.
