Our Mentoring Women Program Snapshot

My Mentor: Courageous Woman Mentoring Program creates wildly successful women who want more in their lives and their careers!

The program is all about mentoring women the right way! It’s a pragmatic ‘push’ strategy that supports the building of your female leadership pipeline and builds women in leadership programs, with proven success.

The program results are measurable and we have seen some phenomenal results: high promotion rates, increased engagement, higher performance scores, movement across divisions – and many heartfelt personal challenges conquered!

You see our philosophy is that, particularly for mentoring women, you can’t just focus on career in isolation – because women have multi- faceted lives – and it’s the other ‘stuff’ which usually causes our career clashes.

We need to focus on our multi-faceted lives in order to unearth (yes – she is already there!) our brave new courageous woman!

WE GUARANTEE RESULTS

We are so convinced by the track record of this program that we guarantee that if a woman puts her heart and soul into the program – she will get results, and she will experience a whole new outlook!

Our philosophy: Women don’t need to be fixed to create women in leadership – but because we are different, we need a different toolkit.

This is the toolkit!

About our Women’s Mentoring Program

Have you tried multiple approaches to increasing gender diversity and inclusion in your organisation? You may have had some success…but you would like to accelerate results to see women from your pipeline banging on the door saying ‘give me that job!’.

Mentoring 35,000 women has taught us that women have what it takes already – but often self select to stay in ‘comfort zone’ because of the clashes with life. Our women’s mentoring program is a great big PUSH.

But contrary to popular belief, the glass ceiling is not the biggest obstacle to women’s progression. It is actually at the first step up to manager— or the “broken rung.”

……a broken rung prevents women from reaching the top.

Progress at the top is constrained by a broken rung. Consider these figures coming out of McKinsey & Leanin in 2019 –

The biggest obstacle women face on the path to senior leadership is at the first step up to manager. For every 100 men promoted and hired to manager, only 72 women are promoted and hired. This broken rung results in more women getting stuck at the entry level and fewer women becoming managers. Not surprisingly, men end up holding 62 percent of manager-level positions, while women hold just 38 percent.

This early inequality has a long-term impact on the talent pipeline. Since men significantly out number women at the manager level, there are significantly fewer women to hire or promote to senior managers.

The number of women decreases at every subsequent level. So even as hiring and promotion rates improve for women at senior levels, women as a whole can never catch up.

There are simply too few women to advance.
